Is time the present?
But just as are we aware of the present, it already passed. It is only by ceasing to be. “What allows us to affirm that time is, is that it tends to be no more”. For consciousness, there is a present from the past, a present from the present and a present from the future. There is memory, the direct intuition of time, and waiting time. We measure the movement of bodies with the help of time.
But can time itself be measured? Is it a reality in itself? Is time a “stretching of the soul”?
